  • 200 g Flour
  • 200 g butter
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 100 g ground hazelnuts
  • 1 egg
  • 0.25 tsp ground cloves
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp grated lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 round tart pan
  • 400 g currant jam
  • 1 egg yolk
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. 1.

Knead flour with butter and combine all remaining ingredients into a smooth shortcrust dough. Wrap the dough in cling film and chill for one hour.

  2. 2.

Press 2/3 of the dough into the springform pan. Place the tart pan on top and spread jam generously up to 1 cm from the edge.

  3. 3.

Roll out the remaining dough, cut 1 cm wide strips, and lay them in a lattice over the dough. Shape the leftover dough into a roll and place it around the rim of the tart, pressing firmly.

  4. 4.

Beat egg yolk with a splash of water, brush the dough with this mixture. Place in the preheated oven at 175°C and bake for 50 minutes. Let cool. Before serving dust the dough strips with powdered sugar.
