Ingredients

  • 2 untreated lemons
  • 1 EL cloves
  • 1 EL coriander
  • 150 g lemon balm
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 l vodka
  • 400 g sugar
  • 0.5 l water

Instructions

    Boil the water and sugar into a syrup.

    Wash the lemons under hot running water. Use a microplane to remove the zest. Place the lemon balm, lemon zest with the spices in a sealable carafe, pour over the vodka and syrup. Seal the carafe and place it in a sunny spot for about 4 weeks, shaking occasionally. After the maturation period filter the mixture through a coffee filter, transfer into bottles and seal tightly. Let the liqueur rest another 8 weeks in darkness.
