Ingredients

  • 4 ciabattas
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 300 g pumpkin (peeled and deseeded)
  • 1 mozzarella ball
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt
  • pepper (ground)
  • 12 fresh marjoram sprigs

Instructions

    Cut each ciabatta crosswise but do not cut all the way through.

    Wash, clean, and place lettuce leaves inside the ciabattas.

    Slice pumpkin into rounds and arrange on a parchment‑lined baking sheet. Drain mozzarella and slice it as well; lay slices over the pumpkin. Pick off marjoram sprigs and finely chop the leaves. Sprinkle over pumpkin and cheese, drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, then grill under a preheated grill for about 3–4 minutes or until melted.

    Place roasted pumpkin on lettuce leaf and top with mozzarella. Garnish with remaining marjoram and serve.
