Iced Tea with Strawberries and Basil

The iced tea with strawberries and basil from Spoonsparrow refreshes even without refined sugar on hot days.
Ingredients
- 0.5 Vanilla bean
- 10 g basil (0.5 bunch)
- 4 bags strawberry tea
- 15 g Honey (1 tbsp)
- 200 g strawberries
- 1 lemon

Split the vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Wash the basil, shake dry, pluck the leaves and set aside half. Add the remaining basil leaves with the tea bags to a pot. Pour 1 l of boiling water over them and stir in the vanilla seeds and honey. Let the tea cool for at least 2 hours.

Wash and clean the strawberries. Cut the smaller ones in halves, the larger ones into quarters. Strain the iced tea into a pitcher. Halve the lemon and squeeze out the juice. Add the strawberries, remaining basil leaves and 3 tbsp of lemon juice to the iced tea and serve chilled.
