Apple tea from Spoonsparrow: a homemade energizer for the cold season

Ingredients

  • 3 apples (e.g., Cox Orange, Elstar, Jonagold)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 drop liquid honey

Instructions

    Wash the apples. Remove cores and slice them thinly. Arrange the slices loosely on a parchment‑lined baking sheet and dry at 50 °C for 5–6 hours; keep the oven door slightly ajar.

    Store the dried apple slices in an airtight tin for homemade apple tea.

    To make one cup of apple tea, pour boiling water over 1 tbsp of dried apple slices, season with cinnamon powder, cover and steep for 10 minutes. Sweeten with honey.
