Ingredients
- 2 onions
- 1 tbsp butter
- 4 Vienna sausages
- 2 pickled gherkins
- 4 Hot Dog buns
- 4 tbsp ketchup
Instructions

Peel the onions, halve them, cut into thin half-rings and cook in hot butter for about 8 minutes until lightly browned.

Heat the sausages in water but do not boil. Slice the gherkins thinly. Split the buns lengthwise, open them and spread ketchup on the inside. Place a sausage on each bun, top with sliced gherkins and onions. Serve immediately.
