Hot Almond Milk

Spoonsparrow hot almond milk: a mild-spiced energy boost especially suitable for children who don't like to eat in the morning.

Ingredients

  • 20 g unpeeled almonds (1 tbsp)
  • 1 dried date
  • 150 ml milk (1.5% fat)
  • 1 tsp gingerbread spice
  • 1 tsp Honey
  • 15 g small gingerbread heart (or another heart-shaped cookie)

Instructions

    Finely chop the almonds with a large knife.

    Pit the date, optionally peel it, and cut into small pieces. Heat the almonds, date, milk, and gingerbread spice in a small pot. Let steep on the turned-off stove for 5 minutes. Add honey and blend everything with an immersion blender until no almond pieces remain visible. Pour into a tall glass. Cut a slit in the gingerbread heart and stick it on the rim of the glass.
