Ingredients

  • 150 g Whole wheat flour
  • 100 g wheat flour
  • 50 g chopped walnuts
  • 50 g chopped hazelnuts
  • 2.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 4 tbsp liquid honey
  • 40 g sugar
  • 80 ml oil
  • 200 g plain yogurt
  • 50 ml walnut liqueur
  • 1 muffin tin (12 cups)

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180°C and line the muffin tin with baking paper.

    Combine the two flours with the chopped nuts, baking powder, and baking soda. In a large bowl whisk the egg lightly, then add honey, sugar, oil, yogurt, and walnut liqueur; stir well. Fold in the dry mixture until just combined.

    Fill the muffin cups and bake for about 25 minutes. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then take out of the tin and cool on a wire rack.
