Herring Salad

Ingredients

  • 230 g salted herring fillet
  • 3 large boiled potatoes
  • 2 small onions
  • 2 eggs (hard boiled)
  • 2 beetroot (cooked)
  • 2 carrots
  • 125 g Russian salad mayonnaise (Provencal)

Instructions

    Rinse the herring fillets under cold water and pat dry, then dice them. Peel the potatoes, peel the onions, peel the eggs, and cut everything into small cubes. Peel the beetroot and carrots and julienne them.

    In a bowl layer the ingredients: first half of the potatoes, then herring, onions, followed by the eggs, then the julienned vegetables, finish with mayonnaise; repeat the process with the second half.

    Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Take it out about 20 minutes before serving. For serving, scoop portions with a large spoon and layer them on plates.
