Ingredients

  • 12 dates (pitted)
  • 200 ml orange juice
  • 24 peeled almond kernels
  • 12 slices of raw ham (e.g., Black Forest or Parma)
  • 1 tbsp rosemary needles
  • 2 tbsp chives spirals
  • 4 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

    Soak the dates in orange juice for about 30 minutes.

    Preheat the oven to 200°C with upper and lower heat. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Remove the dates from the liquid, fill each with two almonds, wrap with a slice of ham, and secure with a toothpick. Arrange on the sheet and bake for about 10 minutes until the ham is crisp.

    Remove and arrange on a platter. Sprinkle with rosemary and chives, drizzle with olive oil, and serve with crackers.
