Halloween Shortbread Cookies

- 250 g flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 80 g powdered sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 tsp orange zest
- 125 g butter
- 1 Egg white
- 250 g powdered sugar
- food coloring
- sprinkles
- green sugar lettering
Instructions

Mix flour with baking powder. Add powdered sugar, salt, egg yolks, orange zest and butter pieces, then quickly knead into a smooth dough. Wrap in foil and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Roll the dough to 2–3 mm thickness on a lightly floured surface. Cut out pumpkins using a cutter (about 6.5 cm diameter; alternatively use a round template).

Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (gas: level 3‑4, convection: 180°C) for 12–15 minutes. Cool the cookies on a wire rack. Beat egg white lightly, fold in powdered sugar and add a few drops of water if needed. Color the glaze orange with food coloring. Coat the cookies with glaze and sprinkle with sprinkles. Decorate with sugar lettering.
