Grilled Ground Meat Skewers

Juicy, spicy and bursting with delicious roasted aromas: Grilled ground meat skewers from Spoonsparrow taste great again and again!

Ingredients

  • 1 old-fashioned roll
  • 2 shallots
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 600 g ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 0.5 tsp grated lemon zest
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • breadcrumbs

Instructions

    Soak the roll in a little water. Peel and finely dice the shallots and garlic. Heat the oil in a pan, sauté the shallots and garlic until translucent. Remove and combine with the ground beef, egg, and lemon zest in a bowl. Squeeze out excess liquid from the roll and add to the meat mixture. Season with salt and pepper and knead into a smooth dough. If too soft, add more breadcrumbs.

    Preheat the grill.

    With damp hands form small balls from the dough and skewer four on each skewer. Grill all sides for about 10 minutes.

    Serve the grilled ground meat skewers with a yogurt dip if desired.
