Grilled Corn on the Cob

Fresh corn for the perfect grill night

Ingredients

  • 2 ears of sweet corn
  • Salt
  • 1 pinch sugar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (or liquid butter)
  • 1 small red bell pepper

Instructions

    Cut the corn in half lengthwise, season with a little salt and sugar, place in a pot, cover with water, bring to a boil and simmer gently for 15 minutes. Drain, rinse under cold water and let drain.

    Wash the bell pepper, halve it, remove seeds, finely dice the flesh. Stick toothpicks into the sides of each corn ear (as "handles"), brush with oil or liquid butter, and grill briefly all around (watch closely as they can burn). Season with salt, sprinkle with pepper cubes and serve.
