Birchermüsli with apples, grapes, berries and hazelnuts: The classic Bircher style keeps children and adults well through the morning.

Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp sultanas
  • 125 ml apple juice
  • 30 g hazelnut kernels
  • 0.5 small lemon
  • 250 g tart apples (2 tart apples)
  • 100 g seedless white grapes
  • 50 g Raspberries
  • 75 g blueberries
  • 250 g yogurt (0.3% fat)

Instructions

    Mix oats, sultanas and apple juice in a bowl. Let soak for 20 minutes.

    Coarsely chop the hazelnut kernels with a large knife or pulse in a food processor. Squeeze half a lemon.

    Wash apples, dry, quarter and core them. Roughly grate on a box grater. Mix grated apple immediately with lemon juice to prevent browning.

    Wash grapes, pluck stems and halve lengthwise. Separate raspberries and blueberries, gently rinse if needed.

    Combine prepared fruit and chopped nuts with yogurt. Fold the mixture into the soaked oats. Divide into bowls, garnish with additional fruit or berries as desired, and serve.
