Ingredients

  • 4 onions
  • 1 Green Chili Pepper
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 80 g chickpea flour
  • 0.5 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 pinch chili powder
  • Salt
  • ground black pepper
  • vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

    Peel the onions, halve them and cut into thin strips. Wash the chili pepper, split it lengthwise, deseed and finely dice. Combine both with lemon juice and chickpea flour in a bowl. Season with cumin, chili powder, salt and pepper, add a little cold water and mix until a well-formed dough.

    Using a teaspoon, scoop small balls from the dough and fry portions in hot oil for 3–4 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and serve.
