Fried Feta Wild Garlic Dumplings with Marinated Peppers

- 500 g sheep cream cheese
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp pecorino (freshly grated)
- 1 bunch Wild garlic
- 60 g breadcrumbs
- oil (for frying)
- 2 yellow bell peppers
- 2 red bell peppers
- 1 lemon (juice)
- 1 tsp oregano (dried)
- olive oil
- Salt
- ground pepper

Wash the bell peppers, quarter them, remove seeds and place skin side up under the grill. Grill at 240°C for about 10 minutes until blistered. Remove, cover with a damp cloth and let cool. Then peel off the skins and lay in a shallow dish. Drizzle with lemon juice and olive oil, season with salt, pepper, add oregano and let marinate for about 2 hours.

Combine cream cheese with egg and pecorino. Slice wild garlic into thin strips and mix into the cheese mixture (reserve 1 tbsp for garnish). Season with salt and pepper. The dough should be pliable; if not, add a few more breadcrumbs. Shape about 8 dumplings and roll them in breadcrumbs. Fry in hot oil for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.

Arrange the marinated peppers on a plate and place the dumplings on top. Sprinkle with wild garlic before serving.
