Ingredients
- butter (for the pan)
- 4 medium apples e.g., Boskop
- 4 tbsp chopped almond slivers
- 2 tbsp raisins
- 4 tbsp apple jelly
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- a pinch ground cloves
- 1 tbsp butter
- powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C with upper/lower heat.

Grease a fireproof dish with some butter.

Wash and dry the apples. Cut off the top third of each apple to use as a lid; with a melon baller remove the core from the bottom halves. Place the lower halves into the dish.

Stir almonds with raisins, apple jelly, honey, cinnamon and cloves.

Fill the apples with this mixture and dot the remaining butter on top.

Place the lids on the fruit and bake for about 35 minutes until soft.

Remove, dust with powdered sugar and serve garnished with cinnamon stars if desired.
