Fish Stick Burger
Delicious lunch for the whole family: Try the Fish Stick Burger from Spoonsparrow!
Ingredients
- 4 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp yogurt
- 1 tsp tomato paste
- Salt
- a pinch cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 vegetable onion
- 1 tomato
- 2 lettuce leaves (e.g., iceberg)
- 8 fish sticks
- 2 tbsp plant oil
- 4 sesame seed burger buns
- black pepper (ground)
- parsley (for garnish)
Instructions

Whisk mayonnaise with yogurt, tomato paste, salt, cayenne pepper and lemon juice. Taste and refrigerate. Peel the onion, quarter it and slice into thin strips. Wash the tomato, cut off the stem and slice into thicker rounds. Rinse lettuce leaves, shake dry and cut into thin strips.

Fry fish sticks in hot oil, turning occasionally for about 6 minutes until golden brown. Cut buns horizontally and toast the cut sides, e.g., in a toaster. Spread 1–2 spoonfuls of tomato‑mayonnaise on each bottom bun. Layer onions and lettuce, then add two fish sticks per bun. Top with a tomato slice and sprinkle remaining onions. Finish with a light grind of pepper and serve garnished with parsley.
