Filo Spiral with Feta Filling

Ingredients

  • 350 g sheep cheese
  • 400 g filo dough
  • 3 tbsp sour cream
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.5 tsp Baking powder
  • butter
  • 1 tbsp chopped dill

Instructions

    Butter a 26 cm springform pan and preheat the oven to 200°C fan.

    Crush the sheep cheese and mix with 3 eggs, sour cream, and dill.

    Brush two filo sheets lightly with melted butter and stack them. Fill the center thinly with the feta mixture and roll into a long narrow log. Repeat with additional sheets until no filling remains. Then roll the logs in the springform pan into one large spiral, pressing the ends together tightly. Brush with more melted butter. Whisk one cup of milk with 2 eggs and baking powder and pour over the spiral. Bake for 35-45 minutes until golden brown.
