Ingredients

  • 16 figs (juicy and ripe)
  • 6 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 100 g chopped almonds

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 180°C fan-forced.

    Score figs crosswise, gently pull apart, arrange side by side in a baking dish, drizzle with 2 tbsp honey and lemon juice. Bake for about 10 minutes until soft.

    Meanwhile, roast almonds in a dry pan until golden brown, remove and cool.

    Distribute figs on plates, fill with roasted almonds, drizzle remaining honey over each, and serve.
