Figs Chutney

Ingredients
- 500 g fresh figs
- 0.5 apple
- 1 small onion
- 50 g sultanas
- 200 ml white wine vinegar
- 125 g Brown sugar
- 0.5 tsp cinnamon
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- a few peppercorns
- a few coriander seeds
- 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 1 small peperoncino
- 1 pinch salt

Wash and slice the figs. Peel, core, and cube the apple; peel the onion and cut into very fine strips. Boil vinegar and sugar in a pan. Add remaining ingredients, bring to a vigorous boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 45 minutes with occasional stirring. Transfer to sterilized jars, seal tightly, and let cool on the lid.
