Cranberry sauce

This delicious cranberry sauce from Spoonsparrow is excellent with hearty dishes and meat.
Ingredients
- 1 kg fresh cranberries
- 3 tbsp butter
- 500 g sugar
- 3 star anise
- 1 tbsp ginger (fresh grated)
- 50 ml lemon juice
- 50 ml water
- 100 ml White wine
- a pinch cinnamon
Instructions

Wash the cranberries, drain and rinse them, then sauté in hot butter for about 3 minutes while stirring occasionally.

Add the remaining ingredients and simmer over low heat for about 10–15 minutes until the cranberries are soft.

Puree the mixture, add a little more water if needed, strain through a sieve, reheat briefly, and season to taste.

Immediately pour into jars, seal tightly, press the lids down for 10 minutes, then flip the jars over and let them cool.
