Ingredients

  • 250 g soft butter
  • 150 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 125 g hazelnuts (chopped)
  • 125 g coconut flakes
  • 250 g flour
  • 0.5 tsp Baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 400 g mixed nuts (ground)
  • 200 g butter
  • 200 g sugar
  • 500 ml condensed milk
  • 100 g honey
  • 200 g coconut flakes

Instructions

    Beat butter, sugar and eggs until creamy. Grate the chocolate. Mix in chocolate, nuts, flour, baking powder, cinnamon and cocoa. Spread dough about 3 cm thick onto a greased baking sheet and bake in preheated oven at 200°C (middle rack) for about 20–25 minutes.

    For the topping warm the butter, add sugar and condensed milk, stir in honey, bring to a boil and simmer while stirring for 5 minutes until everything caramelizes. Fold in nuts. Pour over the finished brownie dough, spread evenly and sprinkle with coconut flakes. Let cool and cut into small squares before serving.
