Christmas Brownies

Ingredients
- 90 g butter
- 330 g sugar
- 70 g cocoa powder
- 3 eggs
- 190 g flour
- 0.75 tsp baking powder
- 3 tsp vanilla sugar
- 0.25 tsp Salt
- 100 g chopped pecans or walnuts
- 30 g chopped dark chocolate
- cocoa powder
- powdered sugar
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 160°C (fan) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Melt the butter over low heat, then transfer it to a mixing bowl and stir in the sugar and cocoa. Gradually whisk in the eggs and 120 ml water.

Sift together the flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and salt; add this to the butter mixture and mix until smooth. Fold in the nuts and chocolate.

Spread the batter evenly about 1 cm thick onto the tray and bake for 15–20 minutes. Cut the warm cake into cubes while still hot.

Cut a star-shaped stencil from cardboard. Dust each cube with cocoa, then place the stencil over it and dust again with powdered sugar.
