Spoonsparrow Chocolate Hazelnut Brownies: moist, tender and wonderfully nutty!
Ingredients
- 300 g dark chocolate (70% cocoa content)
- 150 g milk chocolate (30% cocoa content)
- 150 g softened butter
- 150 g peeled hazelnuts
- 3 eggs
- 200 g brown sugar
- 0.5 tsp Salt
- 250 g flour
- 10 g baking powder

Coarsely chop both chocolates and melt them over a hot, non-boiling water bath with the butter. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) fan or conventional heat. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Finely chop the nuts. Beat the eggs with sugar and salt in a bowl until pale and creamy, until the sugar dissolves. Gradually fold in the cooled chocolate mixture.

Mix the flour with the nuts and baking powder and fold into the batter. Spread the mixture onto the prepared tray and bake for about 30 minutes in the preheated oven. Test with a skewer. Remove the finished cake from the oven, let it cool, then cut into pieces to serve.
