Ingredients

  • 300 g cherries
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp cherry brandy
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch
  • 12 small bread slices (optional)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 tbsp sugar-cinnamon mixture
  • 120 g goat cream cheese
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

    Wash the cherries, pit them, then add them with sugar and cherry brandy to a pot, heat, and simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Whisk the cornstarch into cold water and use it to thicken the resulting juice.

    Pan‑fry the bread slices in melted butter until golden brown on both sides, drain on kitchen paper, arrange on a plate and sprinkle with sugar-cinnamon mixture. Spread the cherries over them and top with a piece of goat cream cheese. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
