Cinnamon Rolls
With the cinnamon rolls from Spoonsparrow, let the hearts of all cinnamon lovers beat faster.
Ingredients
- 250 g flour
- 3 tbsp butter
- 125 ml milk
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 0.5 cube fresh yeast (20 g)
- 1 egg yolk
- flour (for the work surface)

- 0.25 tsp clove powder
- 2 tsp Cinnamon

Instructions

Whisk milk with 1 tbsp sugar and yeast until smooth. Add flour, butter, remaining sugar, and egg yolk to a bowl, pour in the yeasted milk, and knead into a smooth dough using the attachment of an electric hand mixer. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface and roll it into a rectangle roughly 20 x 30 cm. Mix sugar with clove powder and cinnamon. Sprinkle this over the dough, roll from the long side, and cut into six slices. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover, and let rise for another 20 minutes. Brush the rolls with remaining liquid butter and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (middle rack) for about 25 minutes. Remove and while still hot roll them in a sugar-cinnamon mixture.
