Cinnamon Flower Tea

Cinnamon flower tea: teatime for cold days. The spicy cinnamon flower tea is a hot tip against bad moods in the gray season.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp cinnamon flowers
  • 1 tsp black tea (or rooibos tea)
  • 1 cardamom pod
  • 80 ml milk (1.5% fat; preferably H-milk)
  • 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • liquid sweetener to taste

Instructions

    Bring cinnamon flowers, tea, cardamom and 400 ml water to a boil in a small pot and simmer over low heat for 8-10 minutes.

    Meanwhile warm the milk in a second pot. Whisk the cocoa into the milk with a whisk and beat the mixture with a milk frother or whisk until fine foam forms.

    Pour the cinnamon flower tea through a strainer into cups or mugs and adjust sweetness with liquid sweetener to taste. Spoon the chocolate foam on top.
