Christmas Cupcakes

- 200 g marzipan paste
- 50 g powdered sugar
- 1 tsp gingerbread spice
- 1 pinch cocoa powder
- black food coloring
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- 0.5 tsp Baking powder
- 100 ml milk
- 3 tbsp rum
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 tbsp raisins

Preheat the oven to 160°C fan-forced. Beat butter with sugar and vanilla sugar in a bowl using an electric mixer until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Sift flour together with cocoa powder, cinnamon, and baking powder into the mixture. Quickly whisk in milk, rum, and salt. Stir in raisins and divide batter among cupcake liners. Bake for about 20 minutes. Remove and cool.

For the glaze, sift powdered sugar into a bowl and stir with milk to make a slightly runny glaze. Spread over cupcakes and smooth out.

To create gingerbread men, knead marzipan with powdered sugar, gingerbread spice, and cocoa powder thoroughly. Roll thin between two sheets of cling film. Cut out 12 gingerbread men and place on the still slightly moist cupcakes. Press gently and paint faces with black food coloring. Let dry before serving.
