Ingredients

  • 250 g dark chocolate couverture
  • 200 g butter
  • 5 eggs
  • 250 g brown sugar
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 220 g flour
  • 100 g chopped nuts (e.g., walnuts and peanuts)
  • 200 g caramel cream (jar or can)

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) with both top and bottom heat. Line a baking pan or deep baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Chop the chocolate and melt it with the butter in small pieces over a hot water bath. Stir well and remove from heat.

    Whisk the eggs, brown sugar, and salt together until frothy in another bowl. Fold in the chocolate-butter mixture, then fold in the flour and nuts. Pour about two-thirds of the batter into the pan and bake for approximately 15 minutes. Remove from the oven, spread the caramel cream on top, and pour the remaining batter over it. Gently mix the two layers together and return to the oven for another ~20 minutes until done. Let cool before cutting into pieces and serving.
