American Walnut Brownies

Quick dessert: American brownies with walnuts are perfect for gifting, bringing along, and snacking.

Ingredients

  • 180 g dark chocolate
  • 150 g butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 220 g sugar
  • 140 g flour
  • 80 g chopped nuts (e.g., almonds, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, etc.)
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) with both top and bottom heat.

    Coarsely chop the chocolate and melt it with the butter over a hot, non-boiling water bath.

    Beat the sugar and eggs until frothy, then gradually fold in the slightly cooled chocolate. Sift the flour over the mixture and stir in the nuts.

    Spread the batter into a greased baking pan and bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes.

    Remove the finished cake from the oven and let it cool. Cut into pieces and serve dusted with powdered sugar.
