Ingredients

  • 1 Organic Orange
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 Cloves
  • 1 star anise
  • 2 cardamom pods
  • 125 ml elderberry juice
  • 125 ml apple juice
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions

  1. 1.

    Rinse the orange hot, pat dry and cut thin strips from one side of the peel (zest). Halve the orange and cut the unblemished side into wedges. Squeeze the juice from the other half.

    Bring 500 ml water to a boil. Add the orange zest and spices, cover and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.

    Add the orange juice, elderberry juice, apple juice and honey, stir well and remove from heat.

    Strain the punch through a sieve into glasses. Add orange wedges and enjoy hot or lukewarm.
