Cheese Balls with Cherry Tomatoes

- 8 Cherry tomatoes
- 1 bunch chives
- Salt
- Pepper
- 2 sheets white gelatin
- 200 g double cream cream cheese
- 70 g crème fraîche
- Salt

Wash the cherry tomatoes and quarter each one. Wash the chives and cut into rings. Arrange on four plates and season with salt and pepper.

Soak the gelatin in plenty of cold water. Mix the cream cheese with the crème fraîche, seasoning with salt. Squeeze out excess water from the gelatin and melt it gently in a small pot over low heat. Stir in some cheese mixture, then fold into the remaining mass. Fill a piping bag fitted with a 10 mm round tip with the cheese cream and pipe walnut-sized balls onto parchment paper. Chill the balls and shape them slightly with your hands. Keep the cheese balls refrigerated for at least 2 hours until serving. Arrange the balls on plates like caterpillars and garnish with food coloring.
