- 1 Carrot
- 120 g soft butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 pinch salt
- 120 g flour
- 350 ml milk
- 2 tbsp freshly chopped herbs (e.g., parsley and chives)
- 150 g grated cheese (e.g., Bergkäse)
- Salt
- Pepper (from the grinder)
- Nutmeg (freshly grated)
- vegetable oil (for the waffle iron)

Peel and finely grate the carrots.

Whisk butter until fluffy, gradually fold in eggs, then stir in salt and flour. Continue mixing, add milk, herbs, and carrots, whisk into a smooth batter. Stir in cheese and let rest for about 30 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.

Heat waffle iron to medium, lightly brush with oil, and cook waffles until golden brown, adding them gradually.
