Ingredients

  • 120 g soft butter
  • 150 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 100 ml Orange Juice
  • 100 g ground walnut kernels
  • 50 g chopped walnut kernels
  • 250 g flour
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • fat (for the pan)
  • 1 orange
  • 4 tbsp apricot jam

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 160°C fan.

    Beat butter and sugar until fluffy, then mix in eggs and orange juice. Stir in ground and chopped walnuts, flour, and baking powder. Pour batter into greased pan. Peel orange so that only white pith is removed, slice thinly, and arrange tiles on top of batter. Bake cake for 70 minutes. Let cake cool in pan for 10 minutes, then remove and place on a wire rack. Warm jam and brush over still warm cake.
