Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 250 g flour
- 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch cloves powder
- 1 pinch ground cardamom
- 1 pinch ground star anise
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tsp orange zest
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 4 tbsp brown sugar
- 75 ml dry red wine
- 300 ml milk
- butter (for the waffle iron)
- powdered sugar (for dusting)
- cinnamon (for dusting)
- gelatin gummies (stars, optional)

Separate the eggs and whisk the yolks with flour, spices, orange zest, cocoa, sugar, wine, and milk into a smooth batter. Let rest for about 30 minutes.

Preheat the waffle iron and lightly grease it.

Whisk the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form and fold into the batter. Pour 2-3 tbsp of batter into the iron, spread evenly, and bake golden waffles one at a time. Remove and serve warm dusted with powdered sugar and cinnamon, garnished with gelatin gummies.
