Watermelon Sorbet

Ingredients

  • 1 Lime
  • 200 g sugar
  • 200 ml water
  • 100 ml dry sparkling wine
  • 1 piece watermelon (ca. 500 g)
  • mint

Instructions

    Wash, peel, and juice the lime.

  2. 2.

    Add sugar, lime zest and juice, and water to a pot; bring to a boil while stirring and simmer for about 3 minutes. Strain and top with sparkling wine.

    Remove seeds from the watermelon piece and peel it. Chop the flesh, finely puree, and mix with the sugared liquid.

  4. 4.

    Pour everything into a metal bowl and freeze for about 3 hours. After one hour stir well with a fork; continue freezing but stir every half hour!

    Serve the sorbet in chilled glasses and garnish with mint leaves.
