Ingredients

  • 1 kg sugar
  • 4 untreated oranges
  • 350 g dark chocolate couverture

Instructions

    Boil the sugar with 1 l water and simmer for about 5 minutes until the sugar has dissolved. Then let it cool to lukewarm.

    Wash the oranges hot, pat dry and cut into 3-4 mm thick slices. Lay them side by side on a sheet and cover with the syrup. Let steep for about 12 hours. Drain the syrup, reboil and let it cool slightly. Pour again over the oranges and steep another 12 hours. Then remove the oranges from the syrup and drain on a rack. Dry for 1-2 days.
