This Italian classic is always a hit: try the delicious Bruschetta from Spoonsparrow!

Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 6 ripe tomatoes
  • 2 stems basil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 8 slices ciabatta
  • 4 tbsp olive oil (≈40 ml)

Instructions

    Peel and halve the garlic. Wash, core, and finely dice the tomatoes.

    Wash the basil, shake dry, and cut leaves into fine strips. Mix with tomatoes in a bowl and season with salt and pepper.

    Toast bread slices in a preheated oven at 250 °C (220 °C fan; gas: highest setting) for about 3–5 minutes until golden brown.

    While still hot, rub bread with garlic and drizzle with olive oil. Spoon tomato mixture onto the breads and serve bruschetta garnished with basil.
