Ingredients

  • 500 g pork belly
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 3 Juniper berries
  • 2 onions
  • 2 Apples

Instructions

    Sauté the pork belly in a pot with the spices. Peel and finely dice the onion and apples. When the bits turn yellow, remove the spices and add the apples and onions.

    Let the lard take on a light color and transfer it to a container. Do not stir further so the lard does not become grainy. Seal well and store cool. Serve with a few slices of whole‑grain bread.
