Ingredients

  • 1 apple
  • 2 shallots
  • 2 EL Butter
  • 8 chicken livers (≈80 g each)
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 100 g cream cheese
  • 4 whole grain bread slices
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

    Wash, peel, quarter the apple and slice it thinly. Peel and finely dice the shallots. Heat butter in a pan and sear the liver on all sides for 1-2 minutes. Remove the liver and then sauté the shallots with the apple slices over low heat for 4 minutes.

    Wash and tear the lettuce leaves. Spread cream cheese on the bread, top with lettuce leaves, place two livers per slice of bread, and add the apple‑shallot mixture. Season with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
