  • 8 slices Italian country bread
  • olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 2 balls mozzarella
  • fresh basil

Instructions

    Peel the garlic. Wash the tomatoes, remove the stem ends and slice them. Slice the mozzarella. Toast both sides of the bread in a hot oven grill until golden brown.

    Rub one side of each toast with garlic and drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper. Top with tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil leaves, season again, and serve immediately.
