Ingredients

  • 1 kg red blackberries
  • 0.13 l water
  • 50 g sugar
  • 800 g pectin
  • 500 g small strawberries
  • 2 tbsp green peppercorns

Instructions

    Wash the blackberries, strip them from the stems with a fork and simmer with 50 g sugar and 125 ml water while stirring. Pour the fruit and juice through a cloth-lined sieve into a pot and let drain well. Squeeze the fruit to extract more juice. Measure the juice and combine it with an equal amount of pectin in a pot.

    Wash, trim, and pat the strawberries dry.

    Bring the juice mixture to a boil under constant stirring and simmer for 4 minutes until bubbling. Add the strawberries and peppercorns, bring to a boil again, then fill prepared jars. Seal tightly and allow to cool.
