Bircher Muesli with Apples and Carrots

Try the delicious Bircher muesli with apples and carrots from Spoonsparrow!

Ingredients

  • 1 l milk (1.5% fat)
  • 250 g flakes mix (oats, barley, wheat, rye) or oatmeal
  • 60 g raisins
  • 30 g hazelnut kernels
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 Apples
  • 2 tbsp Maple syrup
  • 200 g yogurt (1.5% fat)

Instructions

    Bring the milk to a boil in a pot. Stir in the flakes and bring back to a boil once more. Add the raisins, stir well, transfer to a bowl and let cool.

    Cover and refrigerate overnight to allow it to soak.

    Coarsely chop the hazelnuts. Peel the carrots, wash and peel the apples; grate both.

    Mix the grated carrots, apples, nuts, maple syrup and yogurt with the grain mixture and divide into six bowls.
