The berry jam captures the essence of summer and brings sunny delight to toast.

Ingredients

  • 500 g blackberries
  • 1 kg currants
  • 1 lemon (juiced)
  • 500 g gelatin sugar (3:1)

Instructions

    Wash the berries, remove stems and pass them with lemon juice through a sieve.

    If necessary, add water to reach 1250 ml and combine with gelatin sugar in a large pot. Stir until boiling and simmer for 4 minutes, bubbling.

    Fill prepared jars to the brim, seal tightly, place on the lid for 10 minutes, flip and allow to cool.
