Ingredients

  • 1 kg red currants
  • 0.125 l water
  • 50 g sugar
  • 750 g gelatin sugar

Instructions

    Wash the currants, strip them from the stems with a fork and bring to a boil with 50 g sugar and 125 ml water while stirring. Then transfer to a sieve lined with a cloth and press into a pot. Measure the juice and add an equal amount of gelatin sugar; bring to a boil again while stirring. Boil for about 4 minutes, bubbling (do a gel test).

    Pour the hot jelly into jars immediately and seal them. Place on the lids and let cool for about 15 minutes, then turn upside down to finish cooling.
