Banana Muffins with Chocolate Chips

The recipe for banana muffins with chocolate chips is kid-friendly and really tasty.
Ingredients
- 75 g butter
- 250 g flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground nutmeg
- 100 g sugar
- 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 125 ml milk
- 2 Bananas
- 50 g dark chocolate chips
- 12 walnut kernels

Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) fan-forced. Place 12 paper cups into a muffin tin.

Melt the butter and let it cool slightly. In a bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar and vanilla sugar. Whisk the eggs with the melted butter and milk. Peel the bananas and mash them finely with a fork. Add the banana mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until a smooth batter forms. Fold in the chocolate chips and pour the batter into the cups. Place one walnut on top of each muffin and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
