Baked Chicken Toast
Spoonsparrow baked chicken toast: delicious toast enjoyment with a Mediterranean touch.
Ingredients
- 400 g Mushrooms
- 2 onions
- 2 chicken breast fillets (about 150 g each)
- Salt
- Pepper
- Sweet Paprika Powder
- 2 tbsp butter
- 120 g turkey ham (8 slices)
- 8 slices whole grain toast
- 2 Tomatoes
- 4 tbsp tomato paste (80 g)
- 2 balls mozzarella (125 g each; 40% fat in dry matter)
- 0.5 bunch Chives
Instructions

Clean the mushrooms and slice them. Peel the onions and cut into rings.

Wash, pat dry, and season the chicken breast with salt, pepper, and paprika. Heat 1 tbsp butter in a pan, brown the meat for 5 minutes per side over medium heat, then remove.

Add another tablespoon of butter to the pan. Brown the ham, then add the onions and mushrooms, cook for 5 minutes, and season with salt and pepper.

Toast the whole grain bread. Wash the tomatoes, cut off the stems in a wedge shape, and slice thinly. Slice the chicken breast diagonally. Spread tomato paste on one toast slice, top with tomatoes and chicken, then close with another slice of toast. Place on a baking tray.

Slice the mozzarella. Distribute the browned ham, mushrooms, and onions over the sandwiches and cover with mozzarella. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (180 °C fan; gas: level 3) until the cheese melts. Wash, dry, and chop the chives.

Serve the baked chicken toast on plates, sprinkled with chopped chives.
