Ingredients

  • 300 g wheat flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 125 g quark
  • 100 ml milk
  • 100 ml olive oil
  • flour (for working)
  • 150 g sheep cheese
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • pepper (ground)
  • dried Thyme
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp condensed milk
  • 40 g black sesame

Instructions

    Add the flour together with the baking powder and salt to a bowl. Add the quark, milk and oil and mix everything into a smooth dough using the paddle attachments of the hand mixer.

    Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) with upper and lower heat. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

    Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 30x40 cm. Cut into 12 squares. Drain the sheep cheese and cut it into small cubes. Distribute the cheese in the middle of each dough square. Drizzle some olive oil over them, season with pepper and thyme. Fold the squares diagonally together and press firmly. Place on the baking tray. Whisk the egg with the condensed milk and brush the pastry pockets with this mixture. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
