Homemade Ayurvedic tea from Spoonsparrow tastes delicious and also boosts our metabolism and immune system.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp peppercorns
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 6 cardamom pods
  • 40 g ginger
  • 12 cloves
  • 3 star anise
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Instructions

  1. 1.

    Grind pepper and fennel in a mortar for a few seconds. Crack open a cardamom pod with the back of a knife. Wash ginger and cut into small pieces.

    Add spices to a hot pot and briefly toast over medium heat. Then pour in about 1.2 liters of water and bring to a boil. Simmer on low heat for about 25–30 minutes.

    Strain the freshly brewed tea and divide among four cups.
